Our legal team includes the former Legal Adviser for Energy & Mining at the World Bank.  In addition, our professionals have extensive private sector experience, including senior legal positions with both Chevron Corporation in London and San Francisco and Getty Oil Company in Los Angeles.

• Advised and supervised the preparation of comprehensive legal, fiscal, and contractual frameworks to foster development of, and foreign direct investment in, oil and gas production throughout the world.
   

• Assisted Iraq (Kurdistan) and Somalia concerning the structuring of petroleum laws and investment contracts.
   

• Drafted and negotiated numerous international petroleum agreements worldwide.
   

• Negotiated and supervised drafting of production sharing and concession agreements in Indonesia, Togo, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the Partitioned Neutral Zone.
   

• Drafted and negotiated pioneering petroleum contract for offshore operations in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, People’s Republic of China, between Getty Oil Company consortium and China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
   

• Led negotiations and legal documentation for development of the giant offshore Ninian oilfield in the North Sea by Chevron Petroleum (UK) Ltd., as operator, in partnership principally with British Petroleum and with the British National Oil Corporation. This project also included construction of the Sullom Voe oil terminal in the Shetland Islands, along with the feeder pipelines.
